    Translation issue with NETWORKDAYS

    Hello folks,
I created a formula in a spreadsheet using the NETWORKDAYS function. It worked fine for users in the US, but when my coleague in Germany opened the spreadsheet, the formula returned the ?NAME error. On investigating, we discovered that the NETWORKDAYS function was not converted automatically to its German equivalent NETTOARBEITSTAGE. I believe that my colleague is also using an older version of Excel (not sure which). Has this problem been corrected in EXCEL 2003?
If this is still an issue with newer vesions of Excel, is there a workaround for this problem? At this time, we had to manually change my formula in my colleague's spreadsheet, but I would appreciate a quicker way of fixing this.

    Thanks!
The problem was reported by another user in Brazil yesterday; used the translator to replace the function The Analysis Tool Pak was installed for both the users, but it is surprising that it does not support multilingual translation

    Dear Sindhu,

I run into the same problem you had. NETWORKDAYS does not translate automatically in other language versions of Excel.
You mentioned that you solved the problem by using the translator; can you please specify what you mean with that? Is that an Excel function?

    Regards,
    Michiel

    Re: Translation issue with NETWORKDAYS

Guys I'm having the same issue for the NETWORKDAYS and also XIRR.
The add-in are installed and enabled.

I don't want to depend on locate an replace for this to work on multiple regional language settings because it is supoose to be a global application.
Does anyone know why excel does not translate these functions ????
is there another way out ???
    Many thanks!
