Hi Sonyk,
You can add a textbox to your worksheet. In Excel 2007, click the Developer ribbon, then in the Controls section click the Insert icon and pick the Textbox in the ActiveX controls section. "Draw" the textbox onto your worksheet by clicking and dragging a rectangular-shaped area for the textbox.
Once that's done, right-click on the textbox and choose Properties. Set the MultiLine property to True, and set the ScrollBars property to '2 - fmScrollBarsVertical'. Close the Properties window and then click the 'Design Mode' icon in the ribbon to take the worksheet out of design mode (icon will no longer be highlighted).
You can then enter text into the textbox and once you type more characters that can fit vertically into the box, the vertical scroll bar will appear.
To create new lines within the textbox, use SHIFT+ENTER.
tks very muchand how do I edit the text within the box? like italic, bold and etc?
In the Properties dialog, click in the Font box.
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

I just tried adding a 'Microsoft Rich TextBox Control 6.0 (SP6)' to my worksheet in XL2007 and it wouldn't let me. Perhaps I don't have the necessary library files, though.
wouldn't let me either but i'm on 97 and didnt expect diddly squat lol
