    Conditional formatting for other cells

Hi all. I am hoping for some assistance with something I am trying in Excel 2007.

I have a row of cells, A1 to AG, and what I want is when I type a particular value into AH it will format A1 to AG (specifically I want the font colour to go grey).

I've played around with conditional formatting but it only formats the cell in which I input the value.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

you need to make the condition to be "Formula Is" instead of "Cell Value Is" and then enter a formula like

    =$AH$1=555

or whatever value you want to check for.
