    File not found error

The error that pops up has no information other than "File not found" in a dialog box with two buttons, OK and Help.
When you click on Help I get this information.
    File not found (Error 53)

The file was not found where specified. This error has the following causes and solutions:

A statement, for example, Kill, Name, or Open, refers to a file that doesn't exist.
Check the spelling of the file name and the path specification.

An attempt has been made to call a procedure in a dynamic-link library (DLL) or Macintosh code resource, but the library or resource file name specified in the Lib clause of the Declare statement can't be found.
Check the spelling of the file name and the path specification.

In the development environment, this error occurs if you attempt to open a project or load a text file that doesn't exist.
Check the spelling of the project name or file name and the path specification.

For additional information, select the item in question and press F1 (in Windows) or HELP (on the Macintosh).
I have no idea what file is not being found?
This happens on all excel files, and I just created a brand new file which appears to carry th esame problem.

Any help on this is appreciated.

    Note:
I stripped out all macros from my personal.xls file, so nothing is being loaded or used (macros).

    Re: File not found error

I really hate this kind of BS.
I removed all my macros from my personal.xls file and the error went away. I imported all the macros one at a time and the error has not come back.
    So far so good.

    Butt!

Now macros that ran, now fail!?
    WTH?

    On to another post.
