    Ranges in a Table

Hi there. I am relatively new to using tables. A co-worker sent me a spreadsheet which has a defined table (which is where all of the data happens to lie within). I am trying to set up a SUMIF function and when I highlight a particular range in the table I don't see the usual A1:Z100 for example but rather the name of the table. How do I make certain it's looking at the correct cell range within the table?

    Thank you,
    Keith

Re: How to deal with ranges in a Table?

Anyone? I could really use some help here.

Does the fact that no range shows (i.e. no A1:Z100 for example) mean that by default it takes the entire defined table range?

    Thanks,
    Keith
