    Formatting Horizontal Axis Titles

Sorry this question is probably really dumb, but I need your kind help!

Did my spreadsheet - made my chart. All is well except my horizontal axis titles are too long. I know how to change alignment, change font, text direction and all but I want it to be like "wrapped text"....meaning instead of it showing on my chart as one long line of text, I want it broken into 2 or 3 lines.

Example: Did Not Wish to Participate/Unknown Etiology (one long line)

I want it to vertically display on my chart as:

    Did Not Wish to
    Participate/Unknown
    Etiology

I hope I make sense. Your help will be rewarded with me mentally sending you a delicious lunch.

there is a wrap text button above the merge and center button-----click on the cell you want to wrap--click that button and then narrow your column as needed--may have to widen row------hope thats what you mean

    Re: Formatting Horizontal Axis Titles

Thanks. I see that in the exel sheet itself and I can wrap text and collapse the cells so it is exactly what I want it to look like on the sheet, but on the chart it doesn't do it.
Funny thing to me is that on my chart I can click on just about any other title and hit "enter" to do what I want but not on my horizontal labels.
I know the answer to this is likely very simple but I am about to pound my head on the desk......LOL!

If you force line feeds into the text in the cell using ALT+ENTER then the text will wrap on the axis labels.

If still stuck post example workbook and chart
