    Cell with listed options

    Hi there,

I would like to create a list of all countries to chose from in one cell. Like the one on internet when you have to submit in which country your credit card is registered, for example. I'm sorry I don't the name in English.

So a cell with a dart and when clicking the dart you see a list of options from which you chose 1, click that, and then it's done.

    Can anybody help?

    Thanks!!

    Hello,

you can do that with Data Validation.

First, you need to enter a list of countries in a column in your sheet, for example in cells Z1 to Z100

Then click the cell where you want the drop-down arrow.

Click the Data ribbon > Data Validation > select List from the first box > click in the second box and enter the cell range for the list of countries Z1:Z100 or select the cell range with the mouse.

If you want your list on another sheet, you need to use the Name Manager on the Formulas ribbon to give the cell range Z1 to Z100 a name, for example CountryList.

In the data validation dialog, you then enter

    =CountryList

See attached file for an example.
