Question Check cell...if not empty copy row (EDIT FOR ADDITIONAL PROBLEM)

    Hi again,

Still on my little apartment xls file, need a bit of help again.

What I want to do is have a formula that will check to see if there is something in a cell, and if the cell has a figure >0 that it will copy the entire row into a new table.
There are multiple rows of data I need to use this for.

Can I use a formula or do I need to use a macro for this?

I thought about using Lookup but I have no idea how to properly formulate it- can I get away with an IF formula?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

    Kindest regards

    EDIT:
Small addendum to this, I need the first date on my table to become the first of the next month, e.g. when the row is successfully copied it changes the information in the column marked 'Check in' to the 01/09/2011 if it was previously something else.
Anyone got any ideas? Can I use the current macro by snb modified in some way to do this? (I also need that column to still work with the formula to work out dates etc.)
Additionally, can I specify the sheet that this information needs to be copied into in some way?

Again, any and all help is appreciated. I'm getting there!

    How big is the database?

If not too large, you can use combination of array formulas and lookup formulas,

If larger, then you can use helper columns and then lookup formulas.

Can you also post a sample file with details on your request?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

Can you make up a fake file that has similar columns and information, it would be easier to show with a sample.

If you want to keep data that is already on Sheet2, and want to append to it, then you will need VBA (macro) to do that (to look for last row and begin appending). It is outside my expertise, so if that is the case, then hopefully a VBA expert will assist.

I thought that might be the case. I have done a little bit of work on macros but this is a bit over my head.

If you need to look in column A:

Please Login or Register to view this content.

If column D contains the criterion data:

    .autofilter 4, ">0"

    Hi snb,

    Thanks for the help.

I have tried this but I'm getting error messages, being in French isn't all that helpful.

Do I need to specify a range or make distinctions for the headers of my table?

Re: Check cell...if not empty copy row

Delete the first (2) empty rows and try the macro again.
(il faut amover (?) les lignes 1 et 2, et parcourir le macro de nouveau)
You still didn't specify which column has to be checked
(il faut que vous indiquiez quel colonne doit etre comparé)
