Question I have may not be possible, but thought I'd give it a try anyway.

I have a spreadsheet that contains the contents of a SQL server query which, basically is trying to validate postcodes to determine their northing and eastings (no need to discuss why). Anyway, I also have a web service that can check the postal code (zip code to our American cousins) and if valid will return the northing and easting values. Now down to the real question. Is there a way, in excel that I can take the value of a cell (postcode), automatically put the cell value into the browser web service text input field, execute the command then return (and save) the value of the browser output which is an xml file?

The point of this is that I'm trying to find a bug in our system where the northing and easting values aren't stored in the SQL server, but are being correctly created via the web app. This doesn't happen for all post codes, but enough to want to automate it.
