    Re: Hypothesis Testing in Excel

Hi tikare and welcome to the forum,

I'm not sure why you ask this question to the Excel Help Forum.
    Read http://www.tc3.edu/instruct/sbrown/stat/htsimple.htm

If I remember correctly the Null Hypothesis (Ho) assumes that two sets of data are the same and are only different based on normal random selection of data. What you need to show is that the probability of your two sets being the same is only 5% or 1% chance. This then claims that there is only 1% chance of your two sets being the same. This gives some degree of assuredness that they are not really the same but different based on chance..
One test is worth a thousand opinions.
