    Vlookup help

I would love some help with the vlookup function! I came here not too long ago and the information I received was great, hoping someone can help me again.
Workbook is attached, need to figure out the tax amount according to table A.
    Thanks!

    Re: Vlookup help

I dont think vlookup will help you here. I tried the same thing as ConneXionLost but was not arriving at the figure. The taxable estate is not a round figure like 150000 or 300000 against which you can directly calculate the tax.
You will need some complex formula or a small VBA to arrive at the tax.

Vlookup will work, Try. =VLOOKUP(E8-1,H8:K17,3)+((E8-VLOOKUP(E8,H8:K17,1))*(VLOOKUP(E8-1,H8:K17,4))) then format the value to currency with zero decimals.
