    scrolling "header"?

    hello all,

i have a list of numbers, with specific devices associated with each number.

    see attached spreadsheet.

what i'm trying to do is to:
    1) get the shaded area to stay where they are, no matter where i'm scrolling the information
in other words: if i scroll down, i still want [product 1, part number, and color] to stay at the top of the scroll.
    2) same thing, but with the left column [levels 1 to end]

so, column 'A' to always be there as i scroll right, and rows 1-2 to always be there as i scroll down, etc while scrolling through the rest of the chart [B3:end]

Put the cursor in the cell with "random stat" and choose Freeze Frames from the View menu.

@tom1977: what's the point of uploading a sample workbook if you don't explain how you did it?

    Re: scrolling "header"?

thank you both for excellent work here... but slight issue... i don't have "Freeze Frame" option in view tab... or any tab for that matter...

i've attached what i do have in the view tab.

is there another way to get the same thing?

In Excel 2003, it's an option in the Window menu.
