Need Help with a formula / scenario

    HI There,

Can someone please advise on how we could do this in excel? or if possible?

    Date 11/13/11
    Defect Count 10
    HISTORY
    11/11/11 11/12/11 11/13/11 11/14/11 11/15/11 11/16/11
    FALSE FALSE 10

Say I have a date in Cell B1, and have a value for Defect count in, say, B2.
The number in B2 will be changing daily (manually populated report), what I want to do is to
track the cell B2 and save the data history of the B2 in A5:f5..

I was trying to use the IF function[ IF(d1=b1,b2)] but no way I can ignore the else part(though else part is optional it returns FALSE) !

this is a sample data, 'defect count' actually appears in different row/col of the sheet, so Lookups are hard, i think.
