    Copying cells without unhiding

    Hi.
I have an area with cells unhidden and hidden(A1:A6).
After copying this area the copied former hidden cells (A2:A5) unhide (A9:A12) so I have to hide them from beginning by hand.Is there a way through "copy" to keep after "copy" automatically hidden cells hidden?

    Thanks in advance.

p.s.This is a simple example.Actually there are a lot of calculations and cells that don't need to appear after every copy...

    Re: Copying cells without unhiding

select Your range (with hidden rows or columns - not cells) press F5 and chose "special" then chose "only visible cells" and then Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V

English names could be little different that I gave You above because I do not use English version of excel

    Thanks.
The problem is that way we lose the formula and the relationship between cells(e.g. A10=A9+0.1...). It's like "paste as values" if I'm not wrong.

    Hi from Greece.

Maybe your solution is on paste special.

Take a look to the attach file.

    Re: Copying cells without unhiding

    Hi from Greece.
The problem is that I want to reproduce many times a whole of cells(in the same worksheet) that are interconnected with formulas etc.(this is just a simple example) and from all this(let's call it a "form") comes out a final result. What matters and helps the functionality of the worksheet is to keep visible the precise cells that I want to have control on them. It's very dysfunctional if every time after a copy all the cells get unhidden and I then have to go and look by eye again all over the worksheet for the cells that I have to get them hidden.

Be sure that if instead of photos, send a sample file, you will find more easily members to deal with your topic.

    Re: Copying cells without unhiding

    No problem.
    http://www.filefactory.com/file/cf20..._when_copy.xls

But I think I've just seen the difference...
If you select rows(and NOT as cells) 1-30 and copy them below it keeps the hidden cells unhidden(A74).
Instead you select them as cells and copy it makes hidden cells unhidden(A36).
    Thanks.
