Index and Match not returning values

I'm stumped, I think I've done everything correctly but even though the function arguments for my index are returning the correct coordinates I'm getting #REF! returned.

As a picture says a thousand words I have attached an image of the issue. I'm trying to upload an example workbook but the new uploader is fubar, I'll try and post it in a subsequent reply:confused:

I'm fully prepared to have something totally obvious pointed out to me, I've got a severe case of the Mondays!:rolleyes:

I've updated the original post with an image but the IMG tags arn't working. It would appear that the attachment side of the site is fully FUBAR

Thanks Fotis, I understand how Index and Match work (At least I thought I did!) but in the photobucket image link it is clear that although the correct coordinates are being provided to the array it is refusing to return the value at the intersection of the Row/Column.

You have your columns and rows mixed up, also you need to use absolute values.

Arrrgh! I feel so stupid! Massive case of the Mondays there

You're absolutely right Marcol, when I was following the Index(array, row_num, [column_num]) I was reading it as the reference row and refference column, therefore being 180 degrees out from where I should of been!

The absolutes are usually in there but I dashed the example off a little hastily
