Find, Replace & create new list. (Fairly urgent)

    Hi all,

My excel level is fairly basic at the moment and I can't for the life of me find a better way to do a task I have (a rather large task).
Basically I'm building a master list of keywords these keywords include a huge variety of different product names, colour combinations etc lets call this List A. Now I have another list, List B, which contains phrases in which items from list A could fit.

So for example: Buy blue widgets
    blue widgets sell
where can I buy widgets that are blue

Now what I need to do is essentially copy List B and replace all instances of blue with another colour, and all instances of widget with a product contained within List A to form a new list, List C.

I can do all that by copying and pasting, then doing find and replace twice. But this method is taking a long time and considering I've got thousands of products this could be a real pain in the .... The total number of phrases in List B is less than 60. But as I mentioned List A is thousands / tens of thousands.

Any help, advice, pointing in the right direction would be massively appreciated and possibly save me a few days of work

    All the best,

    Ben.

P.S If this is unclear let me know.

Can you provide some real data and an example of the output that you need as an attachment to your question?

No problem. Here is an example that isn't far off. I need to be able to essentially just put in a name of products (max 100 at a time) and List C to just spit out these products (List A) combined with my unchanging phrases (List B). I will be doing this a massive number of times so any way to shorten this would be appreciated to the nth degree ClothesShopExample.xlsx. I would do concatenate but as you will see the phrases vary in such a way that makes it extremely awkward. That's why I believe I need a find & replace, macro wise I'm unfamiliar with using them.

    Try this.

Create a new sheet called List C

Paste this macro into a new module in the VBA editor (Alt F11 - Insert - Module)

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Then run the macro and the output should appear in the new list C sheet.
