    comparing rows of data

    Hello

I'm trying to make a worksheet where i am searching a table ex table1 a4:g300 in each column the data in the cell would be a number.
    a b c d e f g
    1st # 2nd #3rd #4th #5th #6th # 7th #
    4 5 17 19 25 31 38 46
    5 8 27 28 29 31 32 35
    6 5 15 25 38 42 46 47

i would to enter the number 5 and see the entire row of number that have 5 as the first entry. ideally i would like to enter each number and come up with only one row. i.e. i enter in 5,17,19,25,31,46 and it will display row 4

    Re: comparing rows of data

Why wouldn't it display row 6? That starts with a 5, too.

    Re: comparing rows of data

    1) Click on the data set
    2) Turn on the Data > Filter
    3) Select column 1 and set the drop down filter for 5 and you'll see all the rows with that first number.
    4) Change the column 1 filter to any other number.
