Checking for a symbol then copying text if it symbol is present

    Hi

I'm new to this, but I need to be able to have Excel check a cell, see if a - (dash) is present, and if it is, to copy everything in the cell to another cell a few columns over, on the same row. It would be better if it could just find the first dash, and not continue on past that.

Anyone have any ideas to help me out?

    Thanks!
