Formula to add/subtract feet and inches

    Hi,
I'm trying to get two columns to add/subtract from each other, calculating the difference between the two. The numbers, however, are in feet and inches (i.e., 12' 4" less 11' 9"). I'm not sure how to do this. Any suggestions?

How do you show a number which is less than 1 foot? Would 6 inches be shown as 0' 6" or just as 6" ?

Inches is .6 for 6 inches at the moment, but I think that is my problem with the math. I can show 0' 6", I am open to the best way of doing this.

when A1 is 0' 6"" please take care for the SPACE in between Inch & Feet..

By the way.. if you works a lot in inch-foot.. try this add-ins..

Hello everyone, new here. I joined cause I have a question. How do I subtract from column H? I am trying to subtract just 6 inches from the value in column H repeatedly.
