check for date in mixed text/date and format cell.. Help!

I am very new to creating vba/macros, etc, and am having trouble wrapping my head around how to solve a problem.
In Excel 2010
I have a row of cells, filled with a mix of text and dates (i.e training ticket 01/23/14 WHMIS 03/12/17, etc), some with 2 or 3, others with as many as 10, where I need to verify if the dates in these strings are within 30 days of today, and if so, turn the cell red.

Since the dates are mixed with text, conditional formatting is not recognizing them. I think I need to write some code, then have a formula, but am lost as how to phrase it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
