How to enter strike-through text in this forum?

Long after submitting a response, I want to correct it by removing a question. I know I can simply edit and delete the original text. But in this case, I would prefer to leave the original text intact, but with a strike-through.

How can I cause the text to appear with a strike-through?

Don't know if those are the only codes allowed but when I try to use [s] [/s] it doesn't work.

Thanks for the pointer. At least now I know what to try. But as you noted, it does not seem to work here. Must be some other forum where I saw its use.
