Moderator Lists not updated

I don't usually go into individual forums, preferring to click on New Posts, but I needed to look for a thread that had been made a few hours earlier, and New Posts didn't list it as it was too old. I noticed at the bottom of the screen when you are in one of the specific forums that there is a list of moderators, but AliGW is not included.

Please update these lists.

Pete

Pete, thanks for the heads-up, I will push this upwards
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Moderator Lists not updated ..... “Moderators of this Forum”

Hi Pete, Hi Ford,
I got the impression that the list at the bottom of Sub Forums was not intended to be a list of all Moderators. I think there are quite a lot of Moderators not listed there, some of which have been Moderators for many years. Possibly all the names might not fit in.

Certainly in other Forums using similar vBulletin Software you find the Moderators usually split up a bit regarding which Sub Forums they are listed in under “Moderators of this Forum”

I thought the idea was that all Moderators have similar basic “powers” and/ or responsibilities. Then there are extra “powers” and / or responsibilities for the different Sub Forums that is split amongst the Total Moderator team. Certainly that is how it works in some other Forums with the similar vBulletin Software.

At Excel Forum it may just not have been given too much thought – The list seems the same in all the main Forums, and then there is no list in the other Forums.
Probably then the list was not thought about or updated for ages. Probably has no great significance other than that the Moderators ( and Administrators ) listed there have been Moderators for a long while. – Since the last time any thought was given to what that list is about.

See Post#4 in this thread from earlier today:

The list of moderators is still not up to date.

I have again pushed to the tech team, but their responses to any requests by either Jerry or myself are, shall we say, severely lacking

Re: Moderator Lists not updated

With all of the the above, I cannot help myself, but to conclude that there is definitely a serious problem with cohesiveness, collaboration and mutual support to get this Forum back to its greatness it used to be!

IMHO, i believe there is only one person to be blamed for the sorry state of affairs, and that is the owner of this Forum himself, who seems not to be bothered, instead of involving himself to protect and save his investment! Kings and Rulers have fallen by the same lack of intervention, and if that is the fate of this Forum, so let it be. Sad indeed, but its on the cards or horizon of the owner, if he so desires!

Just my 2 pence of worth, if any.

Isn't that what's called an "understatement"?

Good spot Pete.

I'm missing too, but given the other problems the forum has at the moment that's not of worldly import.

I agree, but I thought it's just a list of names, and it seems to be the same on each forum, so surely someone could easily maintain it, or even derive it directly from the membership list.
