    For Forrum Moderators and Administrators

I went through all my posts and (Which were started by me or I have been involved therein) and compiled a list of links of those threads which I think should be marked as solved.I have marked those which were started by me.

I did this because few days ago I saw a sticky thread by some moderator/administrator but now I am unable to find that thread.

Please find the attached notepad list of the threads which are (according to my analysis should be marked as solved.

    Best Regards

Thank you for the list. With the caveat that I did not see and cannot find the sticky post to which you refer, I will say this: with the best will in the world, we can ask forum members to mark their threads as solved, but often they do not return once they have their solution. Threads fall off of the recent threads list eventually, and whilst it might be preferable to have every single thread signed off, it is not always possible. As moderators, we are not required to mark threads as solved on behalf of the OP, indeed we should not make that assumption.

In short, thanks for your efforts here, but I don't think that anything will be done about it.

Ali the author of that thread was cleaning up the threads which were sent by different members/Experts/Gurus etc. That's why I did it.
Anyway I presented something which was requested by some forum notable.

    Imran,

As I said in my post, I did not see nor can I find the thread to which you refer, which is odd, but thank you again for your efforts. Hopefully whoever started the thread will see this and post here, but unless they do, nothing will happen.

Is this the thread to which you are referring?

    http://www.excelforum.com/the-water-...rk-solved.html

If so, that is ONLY for threads that YOU have started, but are not able to go back and mark as solved, not anybody else's. You need to provide links to those threads when you post to that thread within your post, not in an attached text file.

In future, please mark your own threads as solved as soon as you receive a solution.

    Thanks.

Thanks. Please understand that you can only ask us to close threads that YOU started, not posts started by anybody else.

Yes, but that isn't the case in the vast majority of the threads to which you linked. Anyway, thank you again for your efforts. I shall reward you some rep for trying so hard.
