    Unsubscribe button for mobile access

    Admins and moderators,

I access this forum all the time on Android phones and iphones. And not once have I ever seen a drop-down called thread tools or any unsubscribe button anywhere on any screen in those scenarios. Am I in error here or is the web application written way differently for mobile devices than it is for desktop and laptop to machines? Furthermore, you guys may not know this but rather your software developers would know, but are media queries being used in this forum's application software to detect mobile device page requests? Thanks

I see the same view as from the desktop on mobile devices. Which tools and unsubscribe options are you referring to?

Well it looks like you have an iPhone, Ali. and maybe you and I, and the rest, can educate ourselves about how this version of vBulletin works. Here are my observations....

when I first accessed this site on an Android device, I saw what is in image 1.

and tonight I finally searched around to find out what the heck was going on, and I found a link at the bottom, seen in image 2.

and after clicking that link, I saw what you see on your iPhone. image 3.

and after seeing that view, there appeared a dropdown at the bottom that allowed me to choose a mobile display style. image 4. is so happens that the view you are looking at is the default style. apparently too, the software you folks are using is vBulletin 4.x.x.

and finally, I checked out one of the off-styles listed in the dropdown, and the viewing experience wasn't that bad. I actually prefer that one over all the others. image 5.

    Ali,

I just noticed something else here. I tried to push the default style button on the bottom after being logged in this morning and nothing changed. Then I had to log out and push that button again while logged out and it did change the style at that point. not sure if that's normal behavior for this site but it seems like a caching problem for my phone.

Neither do I, Ali. I just got bored and curious at the same time. By the way, the regional manager of Enterprise car rental here in Iowa City is from England. I know him well. He moved here 7 years ago, and one thing he told me was that people here in the state of Iowa are much kinder than those in England. I have no idea if that is true, but that's what he claims. I know some uptight folks in the UK, but I also know some that are not that way. Probably is the same all over the world.

Well, you know, Adam, there are around 66.5 million of us in the UK. Contrary to popular belief amongst some US citizens, England isn't a village. I find your comments quite offensive, completely unnecessary and, sorry to say, very unintelligent. Have a good day.

well I had no idea you would take them that way. I can't do anything about it now, other than to apologize. It just happened to be the ""UK engagement of the day"" for me over here. I've never researched the population over there. and no, you're not a village. However, the land area is still pretty small. and this doesn't matter either, but of the many software professionals I know from that country who run various internet boards, half of them are accepting of me and my ""ways"", so to speak, and half aren't. I guess that's just about the same odds as any US president has had over a 4 year tenure, huh?

By the way, you ever travelled to Ireland next door?
