when uploading more than 3 images, they seem to be randomly shuffled with regard to their ordering when on the upload screen. and subsequently, they appear in the actual thread unordered as well. example - I upload 5 images, names 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, in that order. the first 3 images appear in order, as uploaded files, as 1, 2 and 3. then after uploading 4, the image files appear listed as 1, 4, 2, 3. this has happened many times to me. not sure about others.
I have not faced such a problem! Everything is displayed perfectly!
Images are not really what we want, anyway - workbooks are far easier to use to help you.

No, as I have never tried to upload more than two. If you really must, create one composite image with annotations using a snipping tool (I use FastStone Capture for that sort of thing).
well that would certainly help, but it gets to be a big time waster and troublesome to do what I'm doing now even though it doesn't take too much time. I will look at the software you mentioned. I addressed this issue a while back elsewhere:

no, it was never solved, and it still happens to me randomly when attaching more than 3 images to a single post. see this image for the scrambled nature of how they are uploaded, which of course is the exact order, from top to bottom, that they appear embedded in the post:
