Anybody else experiencing painfully slow load times? For the last 12-18 hours it has been taking about 30 seconds for every page load I hit.

Hi Jeff,
Yes, I've had this for the last couple of days. I was away for the weekend and since I've come back the forum response has been very slow. Other websites that I've accessed have been fine, so I think it is just the forum.
Pete
Yes! It was also brought up here: https://www.excelforum.com/the-water...ite-today.html

Not here ...

Still seeing this.
Me too. Occasionally the load is instant, but mostly it's about 20-30s.
Yes, same here.

Incredibly slow.
Happy with my answer * Add Reputation.
If You are happy with solution, please use Thread tools and mark thread as SOLVED.
No problems for me... elderly Win10 laptop, chrome.

None of us get paid for helping you... we do this for fun. So DON'T FORGET to say "Thank You" to all who have freely given some of their time to help YOU.
Temporary addition of accented to illustrate ongoing problem to the TT: L? fh?ile P?draig sona dhaoibh
None for me, either at home or at work. Using FF browser.
FYI still having this problem.
I think I'll give the forum a miss for a week to see if it improves, as it is unworkable for me at the moment.
Pete
I'm on verge of the same decision. I can't spend 20 minutes to do 5 minutes' worth of work.
Has anyone mentioned it to Ford?
Just PM'ed him.
I will push this to the TT, but like a few others, I am not seeing any slowness on the forum
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
Regards
Ford
It's real enough for those of us who are suffering from it, Ford. I don't expect the TT will respond very quickly, so I'm keeping away for now. Incidentally, I'm using Edge, if that's a factor.
Pete
Have those affected tried other browsers?
I am on Chrome (Chrome 90.0.4430.85 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and it is slow.
I have the same issue in Chrome, Edge, and Internet Explorer.
Same here + Opera.
I've solved it by using the Hosts file to permanently block the time-consuming requests.
To access the Hosts file,
- Run Notepad as an administrator
- In Notepad, navigate to open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
- Choose "All Files" from the file type filter to show the files.
- open the file "hosts"
- Add these two lines after the existing text
0.0.0.0 cdn.notifyfox.com
0.0.0.0 cdn-static.formisimo.com- Save using Ctrl+S

This worked like magic for me. Ford, the tech team needs to get rid of any references to the first one, because the domain name has expired and is parked at GoDaddy. They need to update the reference to the second site, which has been rebranded as zuko.io (but I don't know how to reference the CDN). Refer to https://www.zuko.io/technical-information
I have posted this to the TT, but had no response yet. This was my last post to them today....
looks like the forum isnt the only one with slow response
It seems a lot more responsive today - pity I'm going out soon, so I can't spend time using it.
Pete
It really is so much better now. For months there has been a bit of a timelag before the yellow banner appears, and if you clicked on the "last post" icon it always took a few seconds before it jumped to the correct post. There were other niggling delays, quite apart from the recently-reported massive delays.
Now they are all gone, and the forum is so much more responsive. Thanks for whoever sorted this out.
