    Unable to post

    Hi,

I am unable to post the content shown in the bellow attachment. Can you please guide me on what is the "Exploit attempt" in my post?

    Best Regards

No idea, but Sucuri thinks there’s an issue, maybe something it sees as HTML. Attach a text file containing the code.

However, this behavior of the website is strange as this kind of symbol should have been allowed if they are applied the code tags.

It’s nothing new. There are many threads about it. Nothing we can do about it - sorry.

    Re: Unable to post

I know this post is a couple of months old … BUT I think there is a workaround.

Sucuri doesn’t like certain characters, or combinations of certain characters, like greater than and less than, which it interprets as potential hacking attempts.

I believe that it is possible to circumvent this intervention by selecting the offending characters and choosing to colour them, ideally, black. This prevents Sucuri from matching and rejecting the character sequence.

I believe this workaround came courtesy of Doc Elstein … the notorious troublemaker

For future reference, here is the original post from Alan (Doc Elstein) explaining the issue and the workaround … with lots of references to where the problem has been discussed.

    Re: Unable to post

Interesting to say the least. Not only the thread as such but also the comment From TMS about DocAElstein, missed the A but I assume that is who is meant.
Again I assume that Trevor knows him personally and it is just a friendly dig. At least I hope so. Not that I know DocAElstein personally.
The reason I posted here is that Trevor is the only person that gave his opinion on a thread where I questioned a moderators action. Thank you for that Trevor. I was tempted to say "it takes balls to do that" but that would be politically incorrect these days. I am still waiting on all the other moderators' opinions, positive or negative.
I think my English is reasonably well to understand but still, English is not my first language so there is always a possibility that I misunderstood the whole thing.

    Re: Unable to post

@jolivanes: yes, it was a friendly aside rather than a dig and, no, Doc wasn’t offended. We don't know each other well, but we have exchanged emails outside the forum and he wrote to me after noticing my post in this thread.
I am still waiting on all the other moderators' opinions, positive or negative.
    Don't hold your breath.

Any moderator who wanted to comment will have done so already. If you wish to discuss the grudge you bear against me privately, then please send me a PM and perhaps we can deal with the bad feelings you harbour and then, hopefully, move on.

This thread is about a different matter altogether.

    Trevor
Sorry, that's what I meant, a friendly. My apologies.
