Hi all,
New to the forum and instead of instantly relying on volunteers I decided to buy some points and try my luck on the commercial forum. I read the FAQ and went ahead buying points. I did this about 12 hours ago. The funds are deducted from my credit card, but no points show up here on my account. I do not see this delay mentioned anywhere. What would be my next step?

Welcome to the forum.
Apologies for the problem - I will report this immediately to the tech team. There was a similar issue recently that they were able to resolve quickly, although that involved PayPal. I will keep you posted.
In the meantime, I suggest you post your query on the free forum (unless you are wanting someone to work to a brief, that is).

I'm trying to open a thread in the commercial services forum. When I click post new thread there, I get this message;
welcome to the Commercial Services subforum of Excelforum. To be able to access this section, you will need to buy a subscription. Click on this link to do so.
Which directs me to the page where I can buy more points. But I already have points. The FAQ again does not help me. Am I missing something?

Thanks for letting us know. Don't waste your money unnecessarily, though: not all members have access to Commercial Services, so it's a smaller audience, and you aren't paying for anything any faster than what you'd get on the free forum. There's no real benefit unless you have a big project that you'd like to set as a brief for someone else to complete for you, which is beyond the scope of the free forum.
