Remove the "Hello... introduce yourself" posts from New Posts search results

Couldn't this be,done another way?
The posts from the "Hello..." forum clutter the results when searching for new posts. Is there no way to remove them from this search if one wants to?
IMO these introductions are more for social networks than for a MS Office forum.

In some quick tests, I think this can be accomplished by changing the 'New Posts' link from:

http://www.excelforum.com/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post

to

http://www.excelforum.com/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post&exclude=161

This will exclude sub-forum ID 161, which is the Introduction forum. I tried both links and it does in fact exclude the test post I added to the Introduction forum when I add the exclude at the end. I'll bring this up with the powers that be. Hopefully a simple little tweak.

[Note: I did run the current New Posts link a few times today, and first thing this morning there were about 20 of 350 threads since yesterday belonging to that forum. I suppose it can vary from time to time throughout the day, and after you've been signed in for awhile too.]

Thank you for the research Paul and the quick answer. It just happened that at a certain moment almost half the posts displayed in my window belonged to that forum

It appears the tech team has made the change, as the 'New Posts' button now includes the requested forum exclusion. I don't see any Intro forum postings when I click the button.

Please test for yourself and confirm, Pepe.

All introduction posts have been excluded from the New Posts section. You should not been seeing them in the Unanswered Threads section too.
