Thread/Posts/Attachments counts still wrong!

This is difficult to catch and worse to prove, but the counters are still wrong.

How did the OP manage this?

I tried the different proposed solutions and found Marcol's version in post #7 to be best suited.

No formulae posted in the thread and no views of the attachment ...

I'm sure it used to state what attachment was bing viewed.

Marcol, thats probably to do with the "tech team" having the "update attachment views immediately" in vbulletin settings set to "no"

Is there some advantage in using that setting? I would expect the vbulletin setting to be "yes" by default.

If you dont have enough processing power on your server you would set it to no so that it's dealt with by a cron process (bulk process) to minimise server load.

The tech team might have changed the setting. I have forwarded this to them and it should get fixed soon.
