Is there a problem with the upload system?

I'm trying to upload a small (22Kb) xlsm file in reply to a thread, but after I've hit the upload button there's a red warning icon next to the file, which if I hover over it gives me the message:

"403 [IOErrorEvent type = "ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]"

I tried to upload a screenshot of the error, but ... well, you can see where this is going, can't you?

I am having a problem uploading as well. It just open a new window but doesnt do anything.

I haven't been using anything this afternoon, as the whole forum appears to have been down, but is now merely giving intermittent database errors and not showing any new posts in the Water Cooler since Sunday morning.

Could you let the tech and server teams know that this morning, when refreshing my browser window, I am occasionally seeing some sort of Excel forum, instead of the usual range of web/database messages I expect to see, please?

Just to be clear, this problem is intermittent - the strange Excel forum does not hang around for long enough for me to read or post, so mostly my enjoyment of the wide range of error messages supplied by our amazing tech support gurus is not spoiled.

I could end there, but as this is the first time since 7am that I've managed to get as far as being able to type a message it would be a shame to waste it...

I now feel, Arlu, that rather than being some sort of go-between for us, the users, and the tech team you're actually some kind of spiritualist, performing cold readings for us; "I see a 'J' - does the letter 'J' mean anything to you? No? It might be an 'I' - does that mean anything? It might be a name, or a word you use often, something like that. Yes, yes, it could be "ineptitude". Now, the spirits of the tech team are telling me that there's pain in your life. They say that you have a feeling that you're trying to help people, but something is stopping you or holding you back. Does that describe you? Right, the tech team are saying that it might be some sort of database or connection error that's causing the pain in your life - now I don't know for sure, but that's what the tech team are telling me. Sometimes they can be quite vague though."

I managed to get an attachment by clicking on the "Basic uploader" link, but even that didn't work properly and seemed to terminate without any message of either success or failure.

Well, after a few hiccups this morning, the server seems to be back on an even keel, but I can still only upload using the basic uploader. I still see the dreaded red exclamation mark using the advanced one.
