Complaint about Reply to Thread Button

This is a minor complaint because I love this forum, but why do they have that big button that says "Reply to Thread". You hit the button when trying to reply to someone's post and it erases everything you've written. The button below that says "Post Quick Reply" is the button you want. Am I the only one who has made this mistake?

Re: Complaint about Reply to Thread Button

You should use the Reply to thread button when you have not typed anything in the Quick Reply box. Actually that button is hardly used i guess. Even if you do click it, it just takes you to the quick reply box again. So you can directly go there instead of clicking on the button.

If I was in charge of the forum I would remove this button. I don't know this for sure, but my guess is that it's confusing and not very useful for most people.

Re: Complaint about Reply to Thread Button

Its actually a default vbulletin button. But let me check with the tech team if it can be disabled.

But basically if you have already typed your reply, you should not touch that button. Just click on Post Quick Reply.

Re: Complaint about Reply to Thread Button

The "Reply" button is needed to open a reply box just under a specific post way up in the thread so at the same time you get to view the post while replying to it. Please don't have it taken away.

Re: Complaint about Reply to Thread Button

We are talking about the big button + Reply To thread which lies at the end of the page, just before the Quick Reply box. We are not talking about removing the "Reply" button. I understand that one is very useful.
