    Another issue

I can't get this thread to go past Page 2
    http://www.excelforum.com/suggestion...-issues-2.html
Anyone else got this problem with that, or similarly with, any other thread?

    Re: Another issue

    Strange ...

I've closed IE9 then tried again still the same problem!

Rebooting my machine doesn't clear the problem.

I'm viewing 20 post per page as advised when the same problem occurred with 15 post per page.

    Re: Another issue

this has happened in the past to random people, what was the solution then? Perhaps applying the same solution is required.

    Re: Another issue

The "solution" was to change the number of posts per page.
    That's a workaround, not a solution.

I tried forum default, no good. So I've bumped it up to 30 p/p, this gets all the posts, but as the thread hasn't passed 60 posts, I still don't know if I will get Page 3. when it's eventually required.

    Re: Another issue

I guess I like scrolling more than the average person. My view is set to 40 p/p so I don't have to keep moving to new pages on longer threads.

    Re: Another issue

My guess is that this happens when a mod or admin completly deletes a post from the thread.

If that post is the first in a new page according to the settings used then the code fails because the posts aren't renumbered.

There is no post#20/21 to find.

If the setttings straddle the deletion there is no problem.

    Re: Another issue

I think it's an error in the software: using modulo starting at 1 instead of starting at 0.
That's why it's beyond the 'tech' team

mine was set to 40 too-which I guess was why I couldn't see the second page in that linked thread-there were 41 posts at the time. I reckon snb's on the money with the modulo issue
