    Unable to Download

Am I the only member that's unable to download workbook attachments ? My main internet browser is Firefox, but I've also tried I.E and Chrome and have gotten the same result.

"You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:"

Weird thing is that I am logged in and I can view png or jpg attachments.

Anyone else having the same problem ?
Have I made you happy ??? If yes, please make me happy by pressing the http://www.excelforum.com/images/buttons/reputation-40b.png Add Reputation button in my post.
Please don't forget to do the same to other contributors of this forum.

    Thanks

    Re: Unable to Download

I have been on the forum for a few hours today, and have downloaded W/B's without any problems - using IE8

    Re: Unable to Download

It appears that I can download workbook attachments but not the traditional way (Clicking on the workbook attachment within the thread)

The only way at the moment is clicking on the paperclip in the sub forum.

Not a solution but you know that you are not alone with the problem.

Have you checked your firewall? Is it blocking downloads?

I don't believe its a firewall problem as I can d/l via the paperclip.

I could not download your test either. I have downloaded previously. Could it be to do with running different versions of Excel?

Well something is a miss with the code somewhere snb. As I can start threads, reply to posts, select the 'Reply with quote' and even use the 'Multi-Quote This Message', View profiles and even my own profile looks okay, which is all privileges of a forum member has, except for me and Alac61 can't download workbook attachments.

    Re: Unable to Download

i have the same problem too. and the method ratcat used by clicking on the paperclip icon doesn't work. i'm using Google Chrome. and the problem seems to be always in the Formulas & Functions section. some can be downloaded & some cannot though.

    This is ok:
    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-form...her-table.html

    this is not:
    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-form...atch-help.html

it's really bothering me because i love this forum mainly due to the ability of being to see attachments

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

Sorry for the slow relpy but.............

Firefox (Version 24.0) won't let me go to page 2 (logged in or viewing unregistered) but Firefox (Verison 18.0) at work will let me view page 2 of this thread but still won't let me download.

Currently I'm in I.E to view the page 2 and I did a test download in the General forum and no luck there either. In the thread and paperclip failed.

So why is the forum logging me out as soon as I click on an attachment ?

Side note: re-entering my log in details sometimes the download will work. But now your going to tell me to tick the box that says 'Remember Me' ...eerrr no..... this is a shared computer and I don't like my computer remembering log ins at any site.

Like Benishiryo it is very random what does and don't download in any sub forum.
