    Suggestion-Thread Unread Notification For Editing/Change In Thread Title

    Is it possible to show the thread as unread when any Editing / Change in Thread Title occurs in any of the post of that thread?

    Because at present we are not getting notified when the OP changes the Thread Title, Correction of code tags / Attaching the requested file in the initial post.

    Most of the time what I see is OP doing the requested correction and waiting for the reply but the subscribed members of that thread are not aware of the changes done by the OP and which leads to little bit delay in assisting the OP.

    It will be very much helpful if it get fixed

    Perhaps if the moderator message included for the user to PM the thread contributors once the rule has been complied with?

    I would also suggest this is an arguement against the "edit your post to be blank if a request was posted whilst you were replying" suggestion I saw recently, as you would not know when to go back and re-edit it.

    I'm not sure getting notifications everytime a post in a subscribed thread is edited would be a good idea - I get notifications e-mailed to me so I'd end up with 100's

    I don't like getting emails for every thread I post to, so I have that functionality turned off. However, I attempt to keep up with those threads that I have posted to by checking the settings each time I log into EF. All subscriptions that have new activity that I have not reviewed are posted in the settings area. I can easily see if the OP has complied or if someone else has responded to the OPs request.

    @alainsidman,

    I do like getting emails for every thread I post to but it is clear why you would not as a moderator! I do not agree with your assessment that it is easy to see if the OP has complied with a request. For me, there is no notification, if, for example, the OP has added code tags to their post. I'm guessing this is what SixthSense is getting at with the suggestion.

    As described by alansidman myself too made the settings to get notified in forum itself and never used email subscription option

    May be that is the reason I am not aware of that bunch of email notification issue

    Alan, if the OP just edits the title / code tags but does not intimate it in a new post of that thread or via PM, we would never know if the change has been done. This is a good suggestion and lets see what we can do about it.
