Fle cannot able to upload in this forum

Hello Friends

I Could not able to upload the files in this forum.

It shows 36 files already uploaded in my user name and it does not allows to upload the file. Also i tried to delete the already uploade files by using `X' button in the uploade file. I Selected all the files and found cut option is dimlighted.

Any friends / adminstrators please heklp me to upload the files to use this forum effectively.

The amount of files you have already uploaded should not stop you from uploading more files - I have over 600 files uploaded. The problem is more than likely that your file is too big (I think the limit is 1k)

The maximum file size i uploaded is 78 kb and now tried file for upload is just 12 kb.

My problem is when i try to upload the file

Manage Attachments > Add Files > Browse > Choose File to Upload > File selected 12.0 LB
> Open > Upload > then nothing happened

Anybody please suggest why files could not able to upload. I tried in 2 systems.

What kind of uploader are you using? Go to your Settings / UserCP page and on the left side, under My Account, select General Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the 2nd last option - Enhanced Attachment Uploading, select Enhanced Attachment Uploading off.

That is the problem, like I said, the max size is about 1k. Remove ALL info that is not directly related to your question, and leave ONLY enough data to use for what you need to show.

Edit: arlu, that sounds like the same method I use, I think the size is the problem.




hmm after looking at my file list, I have a file that was over 9 k, so maybe the limit is 1 meg?

The max size for excel files is 1mb. So he is within the limit. It could be an issue with the uploader.

Hello arlu1201 and FDibbins

I change the settings as suggested by arlu1201 and tried to upload the file (After 2 days after change the settings). But i received the following error message.

"thilag, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

I thing somebody has to approve.

Kindly confirm.

I got your IPs checked and they are not blocked. Are you able to upload from a different location?

I've had that before when the post contained javascript, there are also file types that the forum won't like, any sort of web based files like .js, .php., .asp etc etc as they are a security risk
