-Add a File - click advanced (next to quick post), scroll to manage attachments, click, select add files, click select files, select file, click upload, when file shows up at bottom left, click done (bottom right), click submit
-To mark thread Solved- go top of thread,click Thread Tools,click Mark as Solved

I agree...when/where/why did this start happening? This is a new phenomenon and it's a pain in the ***.

Definitely ! I do not know too many 2 letter words that are worth censoring, but even a..s..s..u..m..i..n..g is getting **'d.... how can questions be answered when you cannot even speak to people, or ask questions ?
I think it is only the combination 0f o and f together. It is apparently some sort ** mask that is being applied, the TT are looking into it, you can get past it using 0 instead 0f o or bold of
1. Use code tags for VBA. [code] Your Code [/code] (or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

TY FDibbins, but I do know how it works, it just seems far too sensitive, even my old posts have this ** thing in them, so I am wondering why now?...
Is the pay side doing so well that the free side is just getting F0Rked over ?

The mask is being applied to all posts, old and new, I know its a pain, lets hope it gets resolved soon
And we should not have 2 work around it, they should make the censor work around us...simple logistics, if everything I post gets **, I won't post,... no posts, no bussiness...etc.,etc,etc
What I really do not understand is, why have the censor bot at all, I THOUGHT that we as a community, were pretty good at policing language, and other offensive stuff without the use o0ff censor bots...

It seems to be OKAY on new posts, but old posts still seem to be buggered...WTH makes something they can not "undo"?
( I am at the 'ANNOYED' status) at this time;

and , apparently. the writers of the bot cannot undue the changes...

Although, if the site is smart, it still has backup's of the previous (pre-bot) posts that it could re-install, then only the few days of "censoring" would be affected
Gonna be a pain downloading code and fixing it. Global replace of a wildcard for a start but then there could be multiple asterisks to highlight stuff or separate areas of code

That's why I suggested the back-up files from before the bot was implemented, saves 99% of the work, because they were not affected by it, only recent posts would be **'d..and I can't remember all of them, but most of them were "of", including mid word uses of..
EDIT-
You'll notice I am using the word "of' deliberately, to make sure the CBot is not flagging it any more

Hi guys, the censor censors the words at the time you complete the post, it then replaces via regex the offending words with the chosen blanking character, the post is then written to the database with the replacements made, there wont be (or at least in versions before vb4) any data of original uncensored words to be able to recall.

@Simon: not questioning your experience of all this forum stuff, but I am confused. I'm pretty sure that I posted stuff ... no problem; viewed it again, even, OK. Then later viewed it again, corrupted with asterisks. Then later again, it/they had recovered, that is, the asterisks had been replaced by "of".
So that looks like the damage was undone.
Yet, I'm sure I have seen other posts that are still poorly

As I said in the prior version you couldn't go back
This was why I suggested the back-up files (assuming that any back-ups exist from before the bot messed up posts), this could restore older posts that were written before the bot went nuts
I also realize that the ones written while the bot was in hyper-sensitive are probably going to be a pain to fix, if they are fixable at all, but the posts prior to those should be relatively easy to restore
If there is a "censor bot" why does all that kitchen spam get through?
