Poll capability in forum?

I was wondering if it were possible to create a poll in this forum. I know some sites have this feature. Just for fun, I was going to see what people find the most annoying while in this forum (e.g. creating an awesome solution and no response from the OP (or no rep bump); impossible to understand question; changing requirements after you provide a solution; stupid polls; etc.).

We have had a number of polls here already Pauley. When you create a new thread (I only tested this in General), scroll down on the new thread and there is an option to check for polling
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

FDibbins - thanks, I'll give it a try.

Others, anything other choices I should add to the poll?

The problem with a POLL is that you control the options. Just start a thread in the Water Cooler and let people present their own "top 5 irritations" if you truly enjoy negative discussions. I'm not that big a fan of them.

Im kinda with Jerry on this 1, that horse has been repeatedly, and soundly, beaten lol, but there's nothing stopping you from putting it out there again - if it gets through to even a few (new?) members, then thats a good thing

Re: Poll capability in forum?

@JBeaucaire - I agree with both of your statements. Let's make it an open 'top 5' list for anyone who is interested. But, let's try to avoid negativity (i.e. no specific names or threads), and share some of our thoughts and frustrations.

1) Person wanting to use Excel as a different tool, especially when they want some of the more advanced features of those tools. Examples: A full featured project management solution (just get Project), or database (learn Access), or calendar (use Outlook/Google/etc.)
2) Solution provided with no response from original poster
3) Poster changing requirements, especially after providing solution that met stated needs

As for questions that are impossible to understand, they don't really frustrate me; they usually just make me laugh at their ambiguity.

At least twice in my history I've responded to an OPs post with a, "Huh...what?"

I also admit to posting a picture of a solution at least twice.

One was a picture of the solution macro.

Re: Poll capability in forum?

@JBeaucaire, now that is funny and something I may need to copy.

Another one is "I really want to learn VBA, but can you help me with <something fairly simple>". I mean, if you want to learn VBA just google 'Learn VBA' or go to Amazon and order a book. They'd probably be able to code their own solution in a matter of hours. If they don't want to learn VBA, then I can understand a bit more on just asking for a simple solution.

Yeah, I would like to learn VBA but...

I don't have time.

I would have to jump in full bore or nothing which means I wouldn't have time to answer questions about formulas and such. I kinda like solving formula problems.
