    Hi
I'm using MSOffice on Xubuntu, but am having some trouble with regional settings and Copy/PAste. Does anyone have any experience in this matter ? Thx

It works nicely with PlayonLinux. THe only problems I encountered ( untill now) are those described. I don't know about VBA though, but as I seldom use it ( not good at it), it's no problem

An awful lot of VBA doesn't work and the external libraries aren't there. I generally found it pretty sluggish and a little unstable; I had it working through wine, which I think is the backend of play on linux - been a while since I used linux anywhere but at work. Firmly a mac user for all things home based!!

Just for the fun you might give it a try with PlayonLinux

Re: Using MSOffice 2010 on Linux

Nah, I'm good for linux at home ta muchly - I've got better things to do than hunt down and build custom drivers for everyday devices - Linux is all well and good for work, but I'm past trying to make it work at home!

p.s I'm pretty sure PlayOnLinux is Wine.

An operating system should be easy to use, treat me like and idiot so do everything for me and not crash - think I'll stick to me mac. I don't mind Windows 7, used to use it at work as I develop in C#; but I wouldn't go back to windows at home - and windows 8 is big time rubbish
