Both sides of my family went to Canada and remained loyal - I wonder how it might have been but I love the way it was when I was younger (before I got drafted) We're losing freedoms now that I know I'll miss

Hope you realize this is all in fun--my memories of 1776 are very dim
if they didnt, they do now (Im sure they did though)
...they did (at least this one did)..
I knew that - I don't know why I've been waxing philosophical lately. I'm a veteran and I fly the flag on all such days.
Mmmmm.
I'm from Northern Ireland (pronounced locally as Norn Iron - hence my address here). We have lots of problems with flags... well two flags, actually: The Union Jack & the Irish tricolour. Depending on who flies them, what they fly them from and why they choose fly them - can provoke a riot and months of angry heads talking on the TV.
Welcome to Northern Ireland, turn your clocks back 300 years as you arrive.
Is it any bloody wonder that I try to spend as much time away from here as possible?
We have a similar problem with Confederate flags in the south. Southerners are proud of their Confederate heritage but the flag raises the specter of slavery and is seen as a racist symbol. Some folks are still fighting the Civil War.
