    Cant upload attachments

Of late, I haven't been able to upload attachments to any of my posts

All that comes up when I click the paperclip icon is a slender rectangular white box. I have checked my pop-up blocker stings too and all seems fine.

Any one else facing these issues?

    Re: Cant upload attachments

I think that as a result of 1 of the attacks we had, the TT blocked the attachment part.

Nope, no luck Ford. I've tried switching browsers too, IE and Chrome, same result

I wish I could upload a snapshot of what happens when I click the paperclip icon

    Re: Cant upload attachments

Ace, I get the same result as you when clicking on the paperclip, however, if I scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, then I can upload a file.

@Ford, please advise TT of this abnormal situation.

    Re: Cant upload attachments

I could not upload in a post yesterday, using the icon
But I just edited the post and tried as Alan suggested and that way works for me.

    @ Ace_XL
A few people have mentioned over the past month that the icon does not work., for example:

    http://www.excelforum.com/tips-and-t...le-upload.html
    http://www.excelforum.com/the-water-...his-forum.html

Doing it how Alan or newdoverman suggested usually works for them, as it just did for me.

Possibly management are trying to cut down the possibility of viruses or wotever being uploaded. Maybe they hoped the alternative method would be unknown to such a person. Or possibly they do not know themselves of this alternative method. So if they read this they may disable that way as well.
Attachments are much preferred here i think, File sharing sites are not preferred as many people are not allowed to or prefer not to download from them. But If you are desperate, then as a temporary solution you could try this free thing , which many people have used for a long time

Ford has a lot of difficulty himself and has hardly any access to the Forum. He has not been able to get any contact to help with his problem!! He is more or less shut out and has been for a couple of weeks now
Try Facebook, - seems the only place you will hear from any EF Management or Tech team or wotever!

    Thanks all

I went with sktneer's suggestion and used the 'insert image' option. Would still be good to get the conventional upload sorted.

    Re: Cant upload attachments

Since I've upgraded to the newest Firefox version I can no longer upload files to any websites. For example, I can't upload photos or videos on Facebook, or upload any files to WeTransfer or any other website. Basically the "upload / browse" button doesn't work. When I press "add files" (FB) nothing happens. And if I drag and drop, it doesn't react either. Facebook sometimes shows loading when pressed "add a photo", but then it stops and nothing happens. I can post text on websites though. Any advice on what to do?
