    Comprehensive offline Excel course?

    Hello!

I will be leaving my current job in the next year. Unfortunately, all of my Excel projects at work will die when I'm not here to manage them. Disappointingly, management has decided to hire a replacement with minimal Excel knowledge and experience.

To get him up to speed, we need him to take a comprehensive Excel course. There's no internet access at work for security reasons, and he has to do the course at work.

Any recommendations for a thorough, self-paced offline course?

    Thanks in anticipation!

    Hi, Hambone70

The only offline material that I am aware of are excel books. Here in the US they can be purchased in most of the bookstores or online. You should have no problem to find them searching online.

Alkey beat me to it. Offline courses are, well, training courses at training establishments, or in house ... or books.

Depends on your learning style. If you need someone to explain the basics and give you the opportunity to work through examples, you need to bring someone in or go to a training establishment.

If you are happy to read a book and work through the examples, then there are lots of books available. I'd recommend anything by John Walkenbach and he usually has a version of his books for each version of Excel.

    Hi Hambone,

If I were you, I'd start documenting those routines When you go back to the old routines, you can learn a lot and will, probably, reprogram some of the logic. By doing this, you can better instruct your replacement - assuming there is some overlap? I hope this was your idea
