Posting SQL code

Hi all,
I can't figure out how to post SQL code. I've tried CODE, HTML, PHP tags but still get page with error "SQL injection is not allowed and is blocked..."
I'm using Opera 42.0

Re: Posting SQL code

I've had the same problem. My workaround was to attach a text file with the code.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Posting SQL code

I think this is a situation where the server sees what you are posting as HTML, and it wont allow that

Similar problem here...http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...55#post4574755
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Re: Posting SQL code

Thanks for tip mike7952!
@FDibbins, ok, if server does not like HTML or SQL codes then (I guess) nobody could post it. But some users are able to do this, like here: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?t=1171227
Seems they used CODE tag and it worked for them but not working for me.

Hi Andrew,
Have you seen these, the first one possibly might be something close to your problem

I don't think code tags usually makes any difference,
If you can post then you can.
If you have something that the Firewall ( If that is the problem ) does not like then code tags make no difference. - This, for example will not post as text or in a HTML code window

Re: Posting SQL code

It's possible to attack sites by entering SQL into input fields, that's why the firewall doesn't like SQL being posted.
If posting code please use code tags, see here.

@Doc.AElstein, thanks, seems like this could explain situation.
@Norie, yeah, right. Just like "posting" sql injection code instead of car reg. number, get photo on speed camera and drop police database

Re: Posting SQL code

It's exactly the other way around. Other forums have good protection against SQL injection, so they have no problems allowing posting of SQL code in posts, since it can do no harm. This forum can't even handle png files properly, let alone other issues.

I can’t really comment too much on that as I don’t understand the technical issues very well.
I have heard that enabling HTML code in posts can make things “less safe”. Recently MrExcel was very badly attacked. I do not know if the enabled HTML had anything to do with that. When I was posting there I did report some posts where someone in a Post had posted HTML stuff and it was really wild what you experienced if you clicked on stuff in the post - - That was deleted pretty quick after being reported.
Anyway, for what it’s worth, the .png problem seems to have been sorted .. There are a few Threads brought back up and Solved now in the Sub Forums Water Cooler and Suggestions for Improvement
Alan

p.s.
( It appears that the SQL problems are still with us, and Sucuri is with us also.
I think apart from the png, most other older issues ( the SQL stuff for example ), are with us since the new server. But the speed is amazing and all the endless loading and time outs, database errors and the such are mostly gone .. http://www.excelforum.com/the-water-...ew-server.html )
