Negative rep (accidentally I think) received

    Morning (where applicable) all,

I've received a "somewhat negative" rep on a reply to a post where the rep comment is "Excellent simple solution to my issue.", so I think they might have made it negative accidentally. Could one of you kind moderators correct it please?

    Thanks in advance

I don't think mods can tweak rep - you need an admin to see this.

-ve Rep .- we all get them - Badge of Honour really :) Lets hope we are all here later...

I think everyone gets one by mistake, I just did, and I gave a couple by mistake, oops, - sorry Kyle!.
It is probably tricky for an Admin to do, - apparently the Rep list can be seen by nobody except you, - so no worries it balances itself out.
I guess if you really are concerned you can ask the OP to give you a couple of reps, then that probably does like -1 + 1 + 1 = 1. I guess in such a case that is not an abuse of the system. – or just leave it – it balances it out when we all make a mistake and give one. I gave 2 –ve Reps by mistake, so I really deserve another...
‘_- oops, - maybe I should not have said that.. a few people may oblige !

Nah, it's easy to fix. Just need to tug our sleeves directly. We don't/can't read every thread....

    Sweep, fixed.

Re: Negative rep (accidentally I think) received

"Excellent simple solution to my issue."
Perhaps it's all in the interpretation ? (Playing devil's advocate here).

It begins with "Excellent" - there's a word of praise !

Then goes to "simple" - perhaps an indication of admitting his lack of knowledge but now that he can see the solution it's like the V-8 commercial ... slap on the forehead.

Ends with "solution to my issue." - I read here the emphasis is 'his issue', again possibly admitting he should have known it and somewhat red faced now that he understands the answer.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks in advance
Just give some rep and I was see if the rep system is still working... If it is positive, then everything is OK!!

Thanks, I did not think it worth bothering you about it, as you have such a lot of crap to deal with.
I noticed a red one to me has gone green ( a mistake by Orrin ( xladept ) )
( Unfortunately I did not get notification of what you had done...*** )

only thought I gave two red ones to Kyle123 by mistake.
I once gave a few red ones to a couple of very ungrateful impolite OPs. But that is not too important...

What is a bit more important....
If you do get to see this ( Lol.. *** )....
*** Email Notifications are not working. ***
I find it a shame for the many who give there help, and whose efforts may not even be seen by the OP

    Thanks again
