I came here to post a problem i was having with a formula on one of my spreadsheets and during the process of writing my post i found the problem. I then noticed another issue with my spreadsheet, so i started to change my post and during the process discovered the reason for this other problem.

So there you have it, your forums are so effective i didn't even have to make a post to get the answers i was looking for.

A lot of people notice that. Often the more carefully you prepare a post, the more likely you are to solve the problem yourself in doing so.
In some cases it can still be worth posting the question followed by your solution anyway.
If you carefully choose the Thread title, then people with a similar problem may then catch the Thread on a search and benefit from it in the future.
There is also the chance that someone may offer an alternative solution also.
