How do I delete posts and/or documents I posted on ExcelForum?
You can't.
If you have inadvertently posted sensitive information, you can PM a moderator and request help. Otherwise all posts remain for others to learn from.

Hi nadiavkhan
It's my experience that, while one cannot delete a post, one can modify their post and/or delete attachments from such post.

If you have issues with Code I've provided, I appreciate your feedback.
In the event Code provided resolves your issue, please mark your Thread as SOLVED.
If you're satisfied by any members response to your issue please use the star icon at the lower left of their post.
I usually Edit > delete the text > replace with "Withdrawn by FR" > save.

You do not need to delete the post. Just provide a link to the other forum(s) where you have asked this (same) question.

But I have seen postings that go away. In other words, they are deleted.
I'm pretty sure the poster was not a moderator, who probably has that ability. But I cannot be absolutely sure.
You can edit a post with an attachment - go advanced - manage attachments. If you can't access it that way, PM a moderator and explain the situation. However, read post #2.
You should NEVER post sensitive data on a public form - always desensitise your workbooks first.

Don't forget to say "thank you" in your thread to anyone who has offered you help.
You can reward them by clicking on * Add Reputation below their user name on the left, if you wish.
Forum Rules (updated August 2023): please read them here.
For example, the thread https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...l-numbers.html had 31 postings. Now is has 28. The deletions occurred some time today.
Moderators and administrators can delete posts.
We do not advocate deleting/editing posts in a thread. The whole purpose of forums like this is for everyone to assist and to learn from the threads posted here - that can hardly happen if big chunks of relevant comments have been edited out/deleted/removed. I have seen some apparently interesting thread (titles), but when you open them, the question has been deleted, and all that remains are some comments that make no sense without seeing what they were related to.
If there are files containing sensitive info, (1) they should not have been uploaded in teh 1st place - a public forum is no place for that kind of info and (2) if necessary, a mod or admin can remove the file/s
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Ford
