Hi,
i have received this:
You have received an infraction at Excel Help Forum
Dear tim201110,

You have received an infraction at Excel Help Forum.

Reason: Ignoring Moderators Requests
-------
It has been requested the OP update the thread title and you have way too many posts to ignore a moderation request
-------

This infraction is worth 2 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

Original Post:

i think you should change text formats in the attached file
All the best,
Excel Help Forum
HTH
Regards, Jeff
Could anybody explain what it is about.
I used cyrillic alphabet in my formula. It works. But i do not think it will work in UK.
I suggested to change it.
And most important:
Reason: Ignoring Moderators Requests
How can I react if I am sleeping? Is there any signs on the forum conforming I saw a request?

Re: Ignoring Moderators Requests

Yes, Tim - it is very simple. If a moderator has asked the OP of a thread to change something (e.g. the title) and that has not yet happened, you should NOT post any help to the thread. It's in the forum rules, which apply to all of us.

Unfortunately, you posted help where a moderation request was still outstanding: you have been a member for long enough now to know what the rules are, so a warning was issued to you. Please do not ignore moderation requests in future. Thanks.

Re: Ignoring Moderators Requests

OK, now I see it. But OP was doing something about it. There is no sign in the forum if a moderation request is pending a response.
IMHO, original title was better. And it is not better nor worse than others.

Re: Ignoring Moderators Requests

Tim, with 1500 posts under your belt, I cannot see how you you would not have seen similar instructions to other members?

It also states very clearly in the forum rules, that when a moderation has been given to change a title, no further posts are to be made until the OP complies. Whether the new title is good enough/better/worse, has no bearing on the initial request to change the tile
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Ford, exactly.
Moderators moderate, and I help among others. I saw posts about the request and posts about the thread. What should I have done? So I cleared my solution and quited.

Re: Ignoring Moderators Requests

What you should have done is waited until a moderator had accepted the new thread title.

Re: Ignoring Moderators Requests

Two questions: What about other posts in the thread not concerning the request? If they do exist, why should I wait?
What should I wait for?
a moderator had accepted the new thread title
How?

Re: Ignoring Moderators Requests

Tim - you are making an awful lot out of this. You should have waited until a moderator either posted to say that the thread title was now OK or until they deleted the posts relating to the moderation reqest (or both).

This thread has run its course. You broke a rule - you were warned about it. That is the end of the matter.

This thread is now closed.
