Is Excel 16.10 for Mac driving anyone else nuts?

From my experience so far, it does not like XLS files at all and it has to be an XLSX. I've even had problems with an XLSX and had to add a * to the file name so it wouldn't open as not being open already. Have any of you found any other weird glitches?

Latest version seems especially bad. Though I hate Mac in general and don't use one. My colleague who use Mac reported all kinds of issues.

He's since reverted back to 14. Which has less issue.

I use to be only a PC guy until my I started working at our family drilling business over 10 years ago. Since then I have completely switched over from the dark side. I would think Microsoft is a smart enough company not to have so many glitches in their software. Back when I was a PC guy, Windows always had problems and the computers didn't last long. My office Mac is a late 2009 and still working great, even with all the newer updates. The only thing I've done to it is add a SSHD and max the RAM out.
