What Software Interferes With Excel ??

.
I've recently suspected that software provided by Iobit ( https://www.iobit.com ) may be responsible for corrupting several of my projects. I've uninstalled all Iobit software for a period of time to determine if this is true.

What software have you discovered causes issues with Excel ?

Other than uninstalling that software, have you learned of a work around ?

What OS are you using ?

What version of Excel are you using ?

Thanks !

1 I have noticed is called Wife.exe

No easy way to uninstall, that requires a complete system wipe and reset

Ways around it?
- Never try and force it
- Always agree that what it did was right, and the best way it could ever have been done
- Pay constant attention to it, and do as many nice projects for it as you can
- Keep telling it it looks really good, and is not getting at all bloated from all the code it consumes
- do not - EVER - compare it with any other software out there, it will totally wreck your day/week/month or even your year!
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

From Wikipedia

I have two machines at home, winxp/office 2007 & win10/office 2016. I use:
Norton Security,
Spybot Search & Destroy (I do not use the "immunize" feature)
Malwarebytes Premium

FDibbins:

I tried using your advice ... Excel 2007 has now created a pivot table and titled it "Honey Do's".

No matter how many of the items on the list I delete, there are an equal number that appear to replace them.

If I ignore the list for very long ... when I return to the computer I either have to wear a grounding strap on my wrists so I don't get an electrical shock
or I have to spend several hours telling the computer how great it is ... that it has exquisite lines and in some cases ... I have to purchase a new mouse
before it begins behaving itself and treating me with respect again.

Last night I went out for a few hours and upon my return the computer was in a chat room of other like minded computers and they were all complaining / venting
to one another about how their Significant Other User just didn't understand them or respect them. (According to my computer the term is pronounced SueWee - like the pig)

All of that leads me to this question : Where the HECK did you obtain that list of recommendations ? And, have you had similar experiences with your computer ?

I'm not so certain your advice is worth the 1's and 0's it is made of.

ps: I'm considering couples counselling.
