And you have a great sense of humour.

I am assuming that was meant as a joke ...

    A question for you please

When We put up a thread and it disappears of the screen does that mean that a helper has to go searching for something to do. ??
Particularly if you are after someones att.

I am not complaining just curious.

I feel the eyes on the back of my neck.

    Re: Att Ali

    There area a few answers:

    1. If the thread has no answers yet, it will be in the unanswered threads list, which most helpers look at quite often.
    2. If someone has been helping in a thread that is as yet not marked as SOLVED, they will usually look for it next time they visit (helpers know how to use the recent post feature in a member's profile to find threads again).
    3. If your thread has had no responses for the past 24 hours, then you can 'bump' it back to the top of the list by adding a new post to it. We do not expect threads to be bumped any sooner than this.
    4. If you are hoping that a particular individual will look at the thread, then do what you do now and flag this in the title. However, as number 4 on the list, this should be the last (NOT the first) resort, because if you do it from the start, the likelihood is that everybody else will just ignore the thread.

I hope this answers your question. As you know, under no circumstances should you try to contact an individual any other way to ask them to look at your issues.

General advice to ALL members seeking help: just be prepared to be patient and remember that this isn't a paid service; accept therefore that your helpers will help on their terms and within their own time-frames, not yours. If you get too pushy, you can easily put helpers off.

Yes, as long as they aren't the same as the comments you've added to the other open thread - if they are, don't do it.
